A:Most on-site clean energy systems have been robustly in the marketplace over the last decade with market penetration rates uniformly over 20 percent per year or higher over the last five years. Large and small scale manufacturers are virtually throughout North America, Europe and Japan with over 100,000 small wind systems worldwide, several million solar water heating systems on buildings, a few million solar electric (photovoltaics) systems on buildings, several hundred thousand combined heat and power systems, among others. Prime products and components come from global Fortune 100 companies as well as cutting edge small businesses. The US military and homeland security operations use these technologies routinely, as does NASA in space - proving these systems are hardy and reliable.
