A:Food growing which requires sunlight is no different than sunlight required for solar production. In fact, even on the cloudiest days, the higher spectrum light that filters through the clouds, produces energy. Storage systems are routinely included whether they be superinsulated water tanks for solar water and space heating, to battery banks and hybrids linking to other technologies such as wind. Wind energy is fairly constant, and they routinely use battery banks and photovoltaics in hybrid systems to compensate for any variability. These kinds of systems operate in extremely rough climates such as Antarctica and arid climates such as the Sahara and Gobi deserts without fail. Freeflow microhydropower systems are scaled to low periods of water supply, and modular biomass s systems are usually linked to agricultural residue and wastes that can be relied upon in all condiditions.
