A:While many end users do design their own systems today, as they did with automobiles in the early development days, there are really too many variables and too much of a learning curve to do so today. Aside from matching different voltages from five to 20 components, they all have different electrical tolerances, communication protocols, and software interfaces. Working with a manufacturer, system house, or licensed/certified equipment installer is the only way to go.
